In February, ORG presented the return of a crowd favorite - The Fredonia Trombone Choir: An Evening of Pops & Classics! From the SUNY Fredonia School of Music, this ensemble of two dozen trombones performed everything from familiar pop standards to classical themes– an absolutely majestic sound that, combined with the soaring venue of St. Mary's Church, took your breath away!
In March 2014, ORG presented the Celtic phenomenon from East Rochester, New York, Róisín Dubh - The Black Rose: An Evening of Irish Traditional Music! These extraordinary students from East Rochester High School have been featured on NPR and perform the traditional music of Ireland in authentic traditional and contemporary styles. They have performed more than 250 times, released three albums, and shared the stage with some of the top Irish musicians from our region and the world! Performed in historic St. Mary’s - the church “built by the Irish”, Saturday, March 8th, 2014 - an evening of heart-stopping Celtic beauty!
